Marcus, what is your experience in computer programming and how did it prepare you to become a webmaster?

The average number of page views per day for the past week was around fourteen million. I get eighty million more pages a day to see if the site has new messages for voting users. Really intense bandwidth wise!

When I went to your site, I saw that ads were targeting my region, but I wasn't registered - can you tell our readers how you are doing this successfully?

I now use ip2location.com- Basically, when I take your IP and look it up in the database it tells me what your city is. I'll bring you a list of users in your city later, there's nothing magical about it.

Do you find that most of your visitors come primarily from search engines (SERPS), or are they from other sources? Do you actively advertise in the media?

Search engines cause something like 2% of my traffic. The vast majority of my traffic comes from word of mouth and repeat visitors, just like any other site with over five million pages a day.

It seems that the services on your website are provided to the registrars at no cost. Do you have any advantage over your competitors that allows you to do this?

I have created a new algorithm that allows me to create a mega site at no cost. A few years ago I created an algorithm a thousand times faster than the algorithm I used in the 1990s. A professor at the time used several supercomputers and hundreds of ordinary computers to track a record. I did the same thing on one computer in two weeks.

Awesome! Are there any other websites you currently maintain?

It is the only website available at the moment. I have several other sites that I have registered for friends so they can learn to do marketing/affiliate things. At this point, I think one site is enough.

Do you have any tips for those looking to create a profitable venture on the internet?

If someone else thinks what you do, I say no ... Find something that no one else thinks is important and build a website with a lot of traffic in that area. Also, keep in mind that today's money is low but the traffic is likely to be gold tomorrow. In the internet world, anything and everything will make money at some point and traffic is king.

Transportation is king - very wise advice, Marcus. Final question - how do you take the time to have such large merchandise on the Internet? Do you have any other interests in life besides programming and website monitoring?

It usually takes only an hour a day, but it is very tiring. I spend the other two hours reading and watching what happens.
